What are some ways that you can get started TODAY? My advice is to start writing down and keep track of everything you eat for a week, and watch your patterns. Once you get used to writing down everything you eat, the next step is to start learning how to measure and weigh your food out. You can purchase a food scale and learn how to use that. Practice makes perfect and you will learn as you go, but just don't give up when things feel challenging. Its not meant to be easy. Anything in life worth having won't come easy.
It's going to take some willpower and some determination. Write down on a peice of paper exactly what your fitness goals are. Why is it important to you and what does it mean to you. Why do you want to lose x amount of weight, and why is it important you you? If you lose x amount of weight then how would life be different for you? Why would life be that way after losing the weight? You have to dig deep and really find the root of your motivation.
We initially get excited about our goals, then over time when things become hard the flame starts to burn out! How do you overcome that? The key is developing self discipline. Self discipline is doing what you hate to do but doing it like you love it. This is how we get results and transform our body. You have to understand what self discipline is and understand how it works. Impliment this into your daily routines and you will start to see change. Not overnight , but over months. Be patient and trust the process.
